Noosa Heads
Asian-inspired, resort-style living
An unusual triangular corner block called for an innovative design and the result is this impressive architectural masterpiece oriented to capture stunning 180-degree views that take in Noosa River, Noosa Beach, Little Cove and the hinterland including Mt Cooroy.
Innovative in construction
The vision of Chris Clout Design from Sunshine Beach and built by Braeden Constructions, this modern split-level home with several pavilions and a central skillion roof has an Asian aesthetic including shoji-style gate serving as its informal entrance and various shoji-style doors including on kitchen cabinets and wardrobes.
A towering palm in an internal garden adds to a resort-like feel, with the spacious open-plan interior also featuring a huge picture box window housing a lowset ecoSmart fireplace, spotted gum floors, a staircase crafted from the same timber and curved glass balustrades on the top level.
The entertaining room with bar opens to the award-winning pool, while an interesting mix of textures add appeal to the exterior, including cement-rendered walls, New Guinea rosewood feature panels, galvanised steel sailing posts, marble tiles on all three decks and volcanic lava stacked stones around the pool. A water tank is cleverly hidden under the pool deck.
