Sunrise Beach
AWARD-WINNING Ocean frontage tri-level home
This breathtaking three-level Sunrise Beach home – the Master Builders Association’s Sunshine Coast House of the Year in 2009 – is a superb blend of innovation and practicality.
Expertise in difficult sloping site construction
Designed by SBT Design of Noosa and built by Braeden Constructions on a challenging sloping beachfront site, the four-bedroom, three-bathroom house essentially hangs off the edge and boasts commanding coastal views from Sunshine Beach to the Peregian/Coolum area.
Constructed using blockwork, a suspended slab and feature materials such as galvanised steel, zinc cladding, copper downpipes and spotted gum hardwood, it combines Japanese influences – including Tepanyaki cooktop, the use of opaque timber-framed walls downstairs and a zen garden – with a modern, minimalist and industrial style reminiscent of New York.
Features include an expansive glass door entry with views straight through to the ocean, soaring ceilings, a yoga retreat overlooking Sunrise Beach, a magnificent wet-edge lap pool, bright red mosaic tiles in the powder room, hydraulic rams used to open the kitchen windows and a concrete benchtop with Italian marble inlay.
